Community Organizer
The Chispana Community Organizer supports Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley’s mission of advancing Latinas through collective success. This role advances the mission through community-based organizing, education, outreach, and leadership development. The Organizer recruits, develops, and supports leaders in heavily populated Latinx communities in Silicon Valley. The position is responsible for growing, implementing, and tracking LCSV’s efforts to develop the skills, consciousness, and engagement of grassroots neighborhood leaders, foster the political consciousness of potential allies, and cultivate a culture of organizing and transformation across agency programs. The Community Organizer plays a key role in planning and implementing policy campaign activities to exercise grassroots power and serves as a liaison between internal programs, community leadership, and key community partners.
