Melanie Espino, Board President
Melanie works as Director of Business Development at the Council on Aging Silicon Valley. She sits on the City of San José's Healthy Neighborhoods Leadership Committee. Latino Leadership Academy 2010. |

Rachel Camacho, VP of programs
Rachel is a PhD candidate and partner at Community Crime Prevention Associates, working with organizations to build their capacity to conduct program evaluations. Ms. Camacho also has experience in grant writing, program development, and strategic planning. HLI Class of 2008. |

Patricia D. Castorena, Secretary
Paty is a part-time staff attorney at the Asian Law Alliance and is also in private practice. She has represented victims of domestic violence in Family Court on behalf of the Domestic Violence Limited Scope Representation program (DVLSR). Read Paty's testimonial. |

Elisa Echeverria, Treasurer
Elisa works for the City of San José as the Transition Manager at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. She holds a masters degree in Public Policy and has interned at the US Bereau of the Census, served in the Peace Corps and worked for Barack Obama's campaign in Puerto Rico. Elisa is a Puente mentor. She joined the board in 2009. |

Rosanna Alvarez works in fund development at Rebekah Children's Services. She volunteers with the March of Dimes and the Latino/a Advisory Committee at Gavilan College. She is the founder of www.PerfectLittleMe.com and dances with Grupo Izkalli. |

Diane Doolan-Diaz is the Community Specialist/Complaint Analyst with the San José's Office of the Independent Police Auditor, an agency that provides civilian review of the police misconduct complaint process. Diane is a graduate of Hastings College of the Law and a volunteer mediator with the County Dispute Resolution Program. |

Alma Garcia is a counselor at Mission College. She holds a masters degree in Counseling Education. Alma is a Puente mentor and serves on the EOPS Advisory Committee. |

Julia Gonzalez Luna is an educator who has taught directly in the classroom, co-directed an educational non-profit and has done community organizing. Recently she taught at Downtown College Prep-The Alameda and helped co-found DCP's second campus in Alviso. She holds an M.A. in Education from Stanford. |

Lennies Gutierrez works for Comcast as Director of Government Affairs for the South Bay and Peninsula. Prior to that, she worked on policy issues for ten years at the California State Capitol. Lennies is a graduate of UC Davis and the Lorenzo Patino Law School of Sacramento. |

Jaqui Guzmán is an Executive Analyst in the San José City Manager's Budget Office. She holds a master's degree in Public Policy from UCLA's School of Public Affairs. Jaqui also has experience as a non-partisan budget and policy advisor to the California State Legislature, community engagement facilitator, and program coordinator. |
